Local human services offices across Colorado have different tools to help them manage caseloads and process applications for programs like food stamps and Medicaid. One of these tools is called a Work Management System (WMS) which can help counties process cases more timely and accurately. Unfortunately, some rural and outlying counties lack the resources to develop their own WMS and are forced to process paper applications with physical copies of documents. About $3.5 million Federal American Rescue Plan Act COVID-19 relief dollars were dedicated to this legislation to ensure that all counties have the tools and resources at their disposal to support their communities in times of crisis.
